Golden Gate Park Departure Dates :

Daily - Closed Christmas and New Years Day. Also closed during major public events in the Park.

Departure Times:

Spring, Summer and Fall Schedule: April until October: 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM or 4:00 PM departures.

Winter Schedule: November - March: 10:00 AM or 1:30 PM departures.

GOLDEN GATE PARK DEPARTURE LOCATION:

Start location is in the paved area directly behind the Sprekels Temple of Music in the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse area. The main entrance to the Japanese Tea Garden is across the street from our training lot at 7 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive. No free or paid parking is available at this start and guest training location.

Paid garage parking is available at the Music Concourse Garage. The Music Concourse is located between the deYoung Museum and the California Academy of Science.

Please note that John F. Kennedy Drive is closed on Sundays from Transverse Drive to McLaren Lodge. John F. Kennedy Drive is also closed to traffic on Saturdays from Tea Garden Drive to Transverse Drive April through September.

Free on street parking is available on adjacent streets. The street parking fills rapidly on weekends. We suggest taking public transit on MUNI to the Park.

We will be offering combo package deals with Double Decker Bus sightseeing companies staring in summer 2011. These combos will include transportation to our location from Union Square or Fisherman's Wharf.

Important: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in and start your tour and training on time. The Park has road closures on Saturday and Sunday. NOTE: Allow extra time to travel to and find parking a on weekends. We do not reimburse parking costs.

Return Details:

Tour concludes at the original departure point in Golden Gate Park.

Payment:

Payment in advance by major credit card; Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Card. An additional damage deposit must be secured with a Credit Card upon check in for your tour.

 

Confirmation and Travel Voucher

For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a your E-Ticket Voucher when your booking is confirmed. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Golden Gate Park Start location.

Please have the gift certificate recipient call the tour office at least 2 weeks prior to tour date to finalize a specific date and time for the tour. Present the Gift Certificate E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office.

This tour must be booked at least 12 hours in advance of your desired date. Your confirmation and E-Ticket travel voucher for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability. NOTE: Your tour departure date and time is not confirmed until you recieve the email with the link to the E-Ticket travel voucher.

Rider Requirements:

NOTE: To All Guests for the Segway Tour: All guests must be age 12 or older AND weigh between 100-250 lbs. (46-115 kilos) No pregnant guests. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian on the tour. No refunds for any member of your party if you do not meet these criteria. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up or guests with mobility issues.

Due to fall risk Pregnant guests will not be permitted to participate on the Segway Tour. No refunds for pregnant guests or other members of their party that elect not to go on the tour.

All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours.

A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.

The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds (46-113 kilos.) Helmets and reflective vests are provided and required.

We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old. Riders under 18 must be accompanied on the tour by a parent or guardian.

Who can ride a Segway? Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities?

Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike-it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why the tour includes 35-40 minutes (estimated) of training so you can get familiar with riding a Segway. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility or other disability issues (Please see our FAQ for more information ) You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.

 

Liability Agreement:
All customers will be required to review and sign our tour agreement and liability waiver before starting their tour. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond our control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.

 

Changes to a Reservation, Cancellation and No Show Policy:
Reservations require a full deposit via Credit Card. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability. We will send an e-mail confirmation of the specific date and time of your tour. Deposits are fully refundable if the reservation is canceled 3 days -72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour. We have a limited amount of Segways for tour use. No Shows are charged in full. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded for any reason and bookings cannot be changed within 72 hours of your scheduled tour. A signed liability waiver is required prior to your tour departure.

IMPORTANT Check your Confirmation for Correct Date and Time:
It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location on the correct date. Please check your confirmation carefully. No refund for no-shows.

Languages:
Segway tours are conducted in English.

Meals Souvenirs and Miscellaneous Costs:
Tour prices do not include Meals, Beverages, Admission Fees, Tolls or Souvenirs.

Tour Size, Routing and Weather:
We reserve the right to change the size or routing of the tour to meet demands for that specific day. San Francisco is famous for the fog! Our tours run fog, light rain or shine. We always suggest multiple layers of warm clothing for any San Francisco activity. Summer afternoon temperatures can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segways are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog or weather obscures the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if we cancel a tour.

Hotel Pick Up:
We do not offer Hotel Pick up service for our tours.
