Q: Do you pick us up at our hotel?
A: We don't offer hotel pickup - Here's why: Generally speaking, hotel pickup can include taking you to 5-8 different hotels before taking to you the tour start location where we would transfer you from one shuttle to your tour shuttle. San Francisco is not that large. From most hotels you can get door-to-door service via a taxi to the Ferry Building for about $5. In most cases, it will only take 5 to 8 minutes.
The important thing to note about the tour is that we must leave on time. The shuttle or ferry leaves at exactly 9:01am,11:17 am (Weekdays) 11:47 AM (Saturday & Sunday) If you have arrived at 9:03 AM, 11:19 AM, 11:49 AM or later - you have most likely missed us and will need to go our next tour day. Sorry, we don't permit refunds given that we have held your seat and turned away other customers.
Q: Where do we meet the tour shuttle? Where does the tour start?
A: At the front entrance of the Ferry Building in San Francisco (On Embarcardero and at the end of Market Street). Map to Ferry Building Actual Address of Ferry Building: 1 The Embarcadero, San Francisco CA 94111
top
A: We want you to get out of the shuttle as much as possible and make various stops throughout the city to walk around and take pictures. We also want to give you time for lunch in Sausalito.
Does the San Francisco Comprehensive Shuttle Tours stop at every landmark on your itinerary?
Do we get out of the shuttle at every attraction?
A: Yes. The itinerary is separated into two lists. The top part of the list are all of the landmarks we will be stopping at and getting out of the shuttle to provide you with a historical narrative of each. The bottom part of the itinerary list are things you will see from the shuttle.
Actual Stops: Get out of the shuttle at these stops.

How much time do you spend at each attraction?
A: As you can expect, some landmarks are more time-consuming than others, such as lunch/dinner or shopping in Sausalito. With this in mind, there is no set time for each attraction. Our Tour Guides are trained to watch how the tour group progresses at each landmark and adjust the tour accordingly. Keep in mind, we still have a lot of sightseeing to do in 5 hours, so we do like to keep the tour moving.
Do we need to pay for the ferry cruise?
A: No, it's included in the price. Any snacks or drinks you buy on the ferry are not included.
Is lunch/dinner in Sausalito included in the Tour Price?
A: Lunch or dinner is not included in the tour price. We recommend Sausalito because there are many good places to eat there.

How do I get to the Ferry Building? Where should I park?
A: For Google Map - Click Here For Parking - See 3 Parking Options below. There is also a new (cheaper) parking lot at Embarcadero and Broadway - just 3 blocks away.
Public Transit:
To get there from San Jose or South Bay, you may want to take: CALTRAIN: From Caltrain Station: (Map: Closest Station) to The Ferry Building. The address of the closest station is: 700 4th Street, SF CA 94107 (It's about a $6 taxi from the Caltrain station to The Ferry Building)
To get there by from either Oakland or either SFO or Oakland Airports you should consider taking B.A.R.T. (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to the Embarcadero Station From Bart Station: Walk only 100 yards from The Embarcadero BART station to The Ferry Building.
Parking Option 1: Washington Street & Embarcadero Street (Intersection)
Just one block away from the Ferry Building at the intersection of Washigton Street and The Embarcadero Street is an outdoor lot by "Ace Parking." It's one of the three official parking lots for the Ferry Building and the weekend Farmer's Market. They offer lower rates for customers that buy something "anything" at the Ferry Building and keep their receipt.
Approximate Rates (6 Hours): $36 (no purchase at Ferry Building) $27 (with purchase at Ferry Building)
Directions: Finding the Washington Street lot is easy, because it's across the street and to the left of the Ferry Building (when facing it).
Parking Option 2: 50 Howard Street
Just a few blocks from the Ferry Building on Howard Street and The Embarcadero Street. It's the official parking garage for the Ferry Building and the weekend Farmer's Market.
Rates (6 Hours): $25 (no purchase required)
ATTENTION: Weekend 11:45am customers, we don't recommend this parking garage for you. Directions from the Embarcadero: Turn onto Howard Street from the Embarcadero and it will be on your right on the corner of Steuart Street.
Directions from the Ferry Building: Walk towards the Bay Bridge and make a right onto Howard Street. It will be on your right on the corner of Steuart Street.
Parking Option 3: Right next to the Ferry Building
To the left of the Ferry Building is a parking lot. Since it's the closest the line of cars tends to be long and it's the only parking lot that works like a valet service where they park your car. If you're running late, we don't recommend this lot, but if you're ahead of schedule it's a good option.
Approximate Rates (6 Hours): $50 (with no purchase at Ferry Building) $27 (with purchase at Ferry Building)
What type of vehicles does San Francisco Comprehensive Shuttle Tours operate?
A: We normally use our 35-passenger shuttles for our daily mixed group tours. It offers large windows
and plenty of space on our reclining chairs. Depending on demand and/or our service schedule, we
reserve the right to substitute a larger bus with PA system. However, in this case we never fill it more
than 35 passengers..
Can I bring my baby stroller or a wheel chair on board?
A: Currently, our shuttles are not wheel chair accessible. However smaller fold-up wheel chairs (which are rare) sometimes do fit on our shuttles. If you have a wheel chair, please notify us so we can give you a free seat next to you to store it. We would be happy to do so. Smaller baby strollers can fit above your seat in the luggage rack above. Some of the larger baby strollers can't fit above - please plan accordingly.
Where does the Daily Tour end?
A: The tour starts and ends at The Ferry Building
Q: What additional expenses should we expect? Are tips included?
A: You should plan on paying for lunch/dinner in Sausalito. No. Your driver and Tour Guide will greatly appreciate any gratuities you give them. A good rule of thumb
is 15%, or $7.50 per passenger.
